The original drawing was created with pen on paper. The coloration phase of the work was completed by creating several copies of the sketch on a laser printer and then coloring the background using various colored pencils. Once a desirable color scheme was achieved I transferred the original design to canvas using a computer projector, projecting the original drawing onto the blank canvas whereby it could be redrawn at the proper size to fit the dimensions of the canvas. Finally, the colored sketch was used to guide the placement of color onto the canvas with oil paints.
This work was painted on gallery wrapped canvas with the sides painted a complementary color. Gallery wrapped canvas requires no further framing and can be hung as is. The additional images show the final result in a wall placement, including close-up details of the piece.
